The Lotus Organization Teachings can be categorized under these headings:
1) The Two Useful Paths:
The Path of the Good Person, and
The Fast Path (or Path of Enlightenment.)
2) How these Paths were taught by the Buddha, Christ and the
Tao Masters,
and are taught by the current instructors in the Lotus. Knowing
some key teachings is important here, such as the four reflections,
the four noble truths,
the teachings of Jesus, the teachings of Tao De Ching.
3) Accomplishing these Paths as the traversing of the fifth and the fourth subplane of the mental plane. (New information and practices).
A key: You must be aware that change happens first in the mind,
and that mind, including emotion, is the main field of endeavor.
In other words, for you to go to a new level you will need to
"get" that it is our psychology, our state of mind,
that needs to be the focus area of work. (A word of encouragement:
Mind is unlimited!) What students can do first: (courses, cds,
books, etc.)
The student will probably need a general understanding of personality
integration, subtle bodies, the three kayas and related
planes. Later, there will need to be a direct awareness of them.
Students reorganize their minds by contemplating the Four Reflections
and the Four Noble Truths. They are required to review their religion
and/or scientific background, including an understanding of your
parents religion or agnosticism, nihilism or eternalism and discuss
this with a teacher in ongoing sessions. Basic Level of Transformation
Techniques, in sessions. Begin to understand and do shamatha and
vipassina meditation. Begin "Ray" studies and empowerments,
for balancing your personality. This is good to do before Primordial
Nature and further empowerments. Some may receive the Primordial
Nature Empowerment and make the three-part commitment to the Path
of Enlightenment. Finally, the student must develop the ability
to ask questions and answer questions. Honest simple ones in the
beginning, silence in the middle and profound questions in the
end.
The path of awakening includes: Three Commitments, Daily Practices,
Understanding Intuition and Intuitive Faith, the Balanced Creation
Formation (for discrimination between samsara and nirvana), actual
dzogchen practices, training and checkups, liberation of the world,
receiving empowerments of Lovestream, Urel, Kuthumi, Padmasambhava,
Da-In, and many others.
Keep in mind that we are happy to help anyone who is sincerely making an effort on the above topics. To be well rounded, if you aspire to the highest chance of accomplishment, please do all of it. It's not that much. It's why you are here. As an example, think about your potential. Imagine using the equivalent energy and determination of what a typical college student would put in during four years of school. Even if you spread it out over more time, the results would be excellent and very beneficial. This is doable.
While we are not interested in being unique or special, the training of The Lotus Organization and Lovestream is rare and not available elsewhere. This is where the teaching lineage puts an entry. If you are ready, knuckle down and get to work and do your best to communicate and cultivate. You know you are going to have to go through changes, good changes, but never anticipatable ones. You will have to have courage. We pray that those who are prepared may enter the intuitive wisdom fast path for the freedom of all beings.
